Olivia’s Story
Ever since she was a baby, Olivia has loved and grown up with dogs. Her first teacher, you may say, was a Giant Schnauzer named Maddie who taught her how to be respectful and tune into dogs.
18 years later she started a job at Petco and learned the basics of dog grooming as a bather. She fell in love with the art immediately and was trained to be a full time groomer. She wanted to enhance her learning experience and went to a pet styling school in Anoka for further education where she learned more styling techniques and breed standard cuts.
Over a decade of grooming, Olivia has mainly worked on the north and west sides of the Twin Cities: Maple Grove, Anoka, Long Lake, Wayzata, St. Louis Park, Andover, and Minnetonka at various salons, and continued learning from different stylists.
Olivia is well versed in a wide variety of different cuts, styles, coat types, and personalities. She also works with grooming clients across all age groups and is experienced with the elderly pet. But as the industry is forever changing, Olivia keeps up on her continuing education by going to expos, seminars, and researching online.
Olivia’s goal in grooming is to understand your pet as an individual and work with their needs to groom them in the most relaxed and comfortable way possible while still giving them the cut and style desired. She is excited to offer her services in her newest grooming venture, her very own TruNorth Pet Styling LLC.

Tita (aka Tweetie Bird)
Tita is the youngest of the three. She loves hiding in paper and plastic bags and being carried around in them. You may hear her cooing or zooming around the house. She is a very friendly and curious cat and easily becomes your new best friend.

Olivia and Riley
Olivia is the founder and owner of TruNorth Pet Styling. She likes to travel, watch movies and pet all the dogs.
Riley is an online high school social studies teacher. He likes to play video and board games, watch movies and catch up on the plethora of books he has.
Olivia and Riley have been married since June 2018.

Nahmoo (aka MooMoo)
Nahmoo is our Pomeranian that we adopted through Underdog Rescue. He has been Olivia’s constant companion and goes to work with her almost every day to “supervise” and silently judges from afar. He is constantly on the lookout for food and would never decline a treat.

Twix (aka Kitty) Rest in Paradise
Kitty is our old man cat at around 15 years old. He loves to snuggle and yell at you to turn on a water faucet for him. He loves laying by a window to watch the going ons outside. His favorite treats are purees!
